Barcelona stars Iniesta Coutinho Rakitic Ter Stegen Paulinho prank fans

Barcelona managed to pull a rather good little prank on a few of their fans using virtual reality headsets and the acting skills of several of their players.

The three supporters were invited along to a demonstration of the club’s new augmented reality goggles, which have been designed to allow fans to train alongside virtual avatars of their Barca heroes.

At least that was the ruse.

In actuality, while the hi-tech goggles were being “calibrated” by the experts, the motion-capture actors slipped out and were replaced by Andres Iniesta, Philippe Coutinho, Ivan Rakitic, Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Paulinho.

The fans were then instructed to remove their headsets, only to be amazed that the real Barca stars were still in the room with them.

Lovely stuff!
