Transfer Talk: Arsenal will look to get both Isak, Olise

The summer transfer window won’t reopen in Europe for a while yet, but there are plenty of moves in the works and gossip swirling around. Transfer Talk brings you all the latest buzz on rumours, comings, goings and, of course, done deals!

TOP STORY: Arsenal interested in Isak, Olise

Arsenal are interested in a double swoop for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak and Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise this summer, reports the Guardian.

Manager Mikel Arteta is reported to be looking to bolster his attack for next season, with the two Premier League stars emerging as two “primary” options.

It is believed that a move for the 24-year-old Isak could require an offer worth £100 million to persuade the Magpies to part ways with him, with the Gunners having already scouted the Sweden international before he completed his move to St. James’ Park from Real Sociedad in 2022.

Olise is another star who is reported to have impressed Arsenal’s scouts, and it looks as though he is one of the first names under consideration as they look to acquire a winger.

The 22-year-old has been in form for the Eagles of late, having contributed to eight goals across his last eight games, though it is said that there could be competition for his signature from multiple clubs including Manchester City and Manchester United.

A £65m release clause in his contract at Selhurst Park is set to become active in the summer.

Bayern Munich attacking midfielder Jamal Musiala remains at the top of Manchester City’s shortlist, reports the Guardian. The Premier League side are said to be preparing a “big push” to sign the 21-year-old, with manager Pep Guardiola keen to reinforce his attack this summer. Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze is also believed to be on their radar.

Barcelona are interested in Everton defensive midfielder Amadou Onana, reports Sport. It is reported that the Toffees are now prepared to part ways with the 22-year-old, who has been on the Blaugrana‘s shortlist as they look to find a star to play in the pivot during the next transfer window. Sporting director Deco is said to have already made initial contact with the Premier League side for him, though they could face competition from Chelsea.

– Chelsea and Newcastle are interested in a potential move for Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, reports the Daily Mail. The two Premier League clubs are reported to be among sides in Europe who are watching the 25-year-old’s situation, with the Gunners expected to move him on in the summer after he lost his starting place to David Raya.

– Close tabs are being kept on AC Milan winger Rafael Leão by Paris Saint-Germain, reports Calciomercato. PSG are believed to be assessing several options in Serie A as they look at players that could help replace Kylian Mbappé, who is expected to leave the Parc des Princes in the summer. The 24-year-old has been in impressive form of late with five goals and four assists in his last 10 matches across all competitions.

Atletico Madrid are prioritising a move for Nice centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo, reports Foot Mercato. The LaLiga side are said to be keen to reinforce their defence after they were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League by Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday, and it looks as though the 24-year-old is one of the first names on their shortlist. Todibo has also previously been linked with Manchester United.
