While out in Singapore as part of their preseason tour, Arsenal have seized the chance to launch their new third kit for the 2018-19 season.
Hector Bellerin, Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Henrikh Mkitaryan and Petr Cech were all placed on modelling duty as the kit aired for the first time on the Downtown Esplanade.

The shirt comes in a particularly minty shade of green, which is said to be at least partially inspired by the Gunners’ infamous “Bluebottle” away kit of 1982-83 — one of the least favoured strips in the club’s recent history.
Indeed, the green and navy blue Bluebottle kit proved so unpopular with fans that it lasted just one season (back when kits would usually be kept for a couple of years at the very least) before being ditched and replaced by a more conventional yellow effort.

Anyway, the 2018-19 version is unlikely to prove quite so divisive, with the Biscay green and Peacoat navy colourway altogether easier on the eye.
The shirt also features a large “W” graphic across the torso which is a nod to the famous “WM” formation pioneered in the 1930s by legendary Arsenal manager Herbert Chapman.
For the record, the corresponding “M” is featured on the new away jersey.
